Camden Service

Jobs in Mind support people to access work, training and employment but our focus is on early intervention to support people at work who are at risk of losing their job due to stress related/mental health conditions.

Our support is:

  • Client centered: the service is committed to meeting the needs, wishes and potential of the individual client – every client is allocated a dedicated personal Employment Advisor with skills and experience to engage with and support clients with mental health conditions with focus on their retention or returning to work.
  • Early intervention / rapid and flexible response: the service is provided as and when needed by the client – this includes out-of-office hours availability of the service for the client engagement/support.
  • Structured /case management: every client is supported by their personal Employment Advisor through a skills based, structured SMART action plan, initial assessment and on-going support.
  • Intensive support: Employment Advisor’s caseloads 20-25 at any time ensure adequate client focus and intensity support – this is based on available best practice evidence and ensures positive employment outcomes.
  • Solution and outcome Focus: Employment Advisors provide pragmatic client support focussed on achieving the best possible employment outcomes according to client needs and choice, retention, change or return to work.
  • Liaise / mediation focus: based on client consent the Employment Advisor liases, mediates and supports all relevant parties as appropriate; employers, JCP, IAPT practioners, occupational health, union reps, GP’s.
  • Integration of CPTS: Although the Employment Advisors are not co-located with a therapy team we will work closely with referrers to keep parties informed.
